Business travel is a reality for almost everyone who works in the mid-to large-sized companies. Many times this tour takes us to distant places where there are a lot of dangers. I found one when traveling internationally in the late 1990s.
After hours and hours at four different planes I finally get to my hotel. The next morning I get up and meet the rest of my team.At that point I felt a little queasy and skip breakfast a few hours later and I have diarrhea and lousy general feeling. Cold and hot flashes followed a little later, and fever. Just while eating makes my stomach churn and convulsion.
My site takes me one of the major hospitals where they hook me up to IV fluid and in the next few days very blurred and confusing in my memory. I'm pumped full of antibiotics and recover enough to get home. I still don't feel well, and go to my doctor one day after I plane.It provides strong antibiotics, cramps and diarrhea continues in the next few days and I see Gastroenterology. It was a dead end, what I have. After asking for help from the Center for disease control and prevention, she finally comes up with effective treatment.
